A Platform to Support Remote Automation and Control Laboratories

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contributionpeer-review

In this paper, a platform and an architecture to support remote automation and control laboratories are presented. The work is an evolution of the existing control lab, and is a work-in-progress. The contribution is centered on the integration of different technologies on a platform, in order to offer new functionalities for the users. Modeling and dynamic simulation are now basic tools for understanding and verifying theoretical subjects. However, the experimentation with a plant should not be replaced by simulation. Some experiments are shown in order to evaluate the effectiveness of the approach.
