Abstract
The notion of cultural interface, coined by the Australian researcher M. Nakata in 2002, refeering to the situation in which cultural encountes take place, is central to my research in which selected music subjects are being collaboratively observed in the performance of their individual and collective identity marks in such contexts. I'll present my initial fieldwork impressions as the Filarmónica Portuguesa de Paris is unfolding its history and characteristics and my research materials are getting shape in the field of Music and Migration Studies in Ethnomusicology.
